Great place for being a shutter bug!

Hi everyone.

As my blog is only in it’s infancy (day two of blogging) stage I have yet received any questions regarding photography and indie filmmaking.  So I will tell you about a place that I love to shoot at.  Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.  The garden is a must for those of us into nature photography.  As you will see from the pictures below, you just never know what you’ll come across.   While you won’t be guaranteed to see these particular birds on a daily basis, what you can bank on is beautiful floral of all kinds thanks to the teams tireless work.  Pay close attention because some of the coolest things to shoot end up being pretty small.  I have even seen a couple of resident chipmunks there!  It’s a big garden but not overly big (unless you are carrying like 40lbs of equipment…then it feels like a it’s the size of Long Island).  I won’t go into all the different sections the garden has but I will tell you that you can get in free from 10am and 12pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays!  If you are interested in my weekend work shop on “Closeup with Nature” just drop me a line and I’ll give you all the details!

Warmly,

Robert
